We are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Optimist Dinghy Association Open and National Championships 2023 is now open for registration.

The event will be held at the Clearwater Bay Marina part of the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club and we are excited to work this year again with the club to offer the sailors a great sailing venue. 
When registering for this regatta please remember the following:

• You will need to add 852 in front of your phone numbers otherwise it will not be accepted
• You will need to manually select “12U” (for 12 year old and under) and “10U” (for 10 year old and under) divisions, as this is not automatically calculated and added to your sailor’s details. Your sailor’s opti age is their age on 31st December 2023 therefore for 12 and Under competitors must be 12 or under on 31st December 2023 ie born in 2011 or later, for 10 and Under competitors must be 10 or under on 31st December 2022 ie born in 2013 or later
• You can select to pay by a credit card that you must have entered in the Clubspot system before use otherwise all payments will be made offline and you will receive an invoice for payment to HKODA after registering
• If you require a charter boat (limited), you can select the option in the registration process

In order to compete in this regatta you must be a member of the HKODA or an equivalent National Optimist Organisation. Full details on how to renew your membership or become a member can be found at https://www.hkoda.org/about-us/hkoda-membership/

HKODA is run entirely by volunteers and we need all of your help to be able to organise and run a successful regatta. Help is needed before and during the event. If you can help on or off the water, please sign up via our online volunteer’s form https://forms.gle/qVyn18rxJSSs5RCf6 and help us make the HKODA National and Open Championships 2023 an event to remember. No previous experience is required to volunteer, it is a great way to get involved and to learn more about what is involved in optimist racing.
